Ode to Summer
Your rays smile down on me,
Tthanks for the nice tan!
I open a drink as cold as ice-.
CRACK!
The sound is like music to my ears.
ThisNo isstress is what you're all about.
Oh, Summer!
You are too good to me.
I am laying on a tube in the river,
Mmy toes are drifting in the cold water,
Wwhile my body is burnsing up.
Shades on.
Worries off.
Enjoying my time with friends.
Taking in every moment of this superb day.
Oh, Summer!
Please never leave me.
School is coming faster than light,
I never want the memories you bring to end.
I do not know if I can live without your
Eexquisite sunsets that scream colors throughout the sky,
The days spent steaming heat outside, in your steaming sun
and concrete that scorches my bare feet with every step,
The nights spent under the lights playing softball,
the nights time spent meeting new people that I now cannot live without,
Aand especially the momentsnights spent with my best friends.
Oh, Summer!
Please save me!
