Every Storm Passes
In the darkest of hours
Comes chaos and sin
The battle’s half over,
The worst will soon begin
In the great tempest,
My ship battered and tossed
Many a crewmate,
Good friends have been lost
A sky of pitch black,
An ocean rough and grey,
Storm clouds so thick,
The Almighty could not hear us pray
The storm rages on,
With winds of such strength
They beat at my ship
Through days of great length
Many long hours
Away from the shore
A longing for her,
I still do endure
My sweetheart calls to me,
Like Christ to the masses
I’ll return to her one day,
Every storm passes
