Under Ice

Spicy eyes,
through icy lies,
I hid under a cold glass.
Shrouded by thick frost,
I stared up at what I had lost,
Loving all that came to pass.

In my cold abyss,
I had seen all bliss.
Despite the insects in my eyes.
The birds and spades,
and the gliding blades.
Even the smells of warm pies.

Though, none could compare,
to the girl with every share.
She made decaying heart beat again.
She gave me closure,
so I left jewels for her.
A gift for which the other could gain.

The moss was stained by frostbite.
Whilst, dogs searched in the night.
They hunted for the cold, but only found bloody mice.

But, for days I ponder,
of whatever lays yonder.
Us, was what I couldn’t decise.
Because what we were together,
would never stand forever.
For she would stay above the ice.

Just a poem about a lifeless form falling in love with a human.
