I wished I called you on your telephone
to say : Don't be fooled by your daughter
but you were sad and would not answer
The rest of my love goes to you
trying to save you from yourself
I always wondered why you let me believe
you were mad at me, why you never defended me
from the rumors made by your daughter
Looking back, I regret not making
an effort on being with you on your last years
if I had one more night for goodbye
i'd lay in bed and never leave your side
your pillows soaked from all of the tears i've cried
but I won't say goodbye
