An Ode to Fire
The bright embers warm the hands of the cold.
Loved by the brave, feared by the old.
Dancing the night away in the summer sky.
It’s honestly too hard to say goodbye.
Your inviting glow,
All but woe,
Calms me in my darkest times.
I sing to you with the sweetest rhymes.
The light is a drunk dancer.
A lovely sort, a kind prancer.
The fire leaves signs of passion.
An equal yet opposite reaction
The cedar wood burns bright red
This hue didn’t result from bloodshed
The terrible wind outside is chilly.
The embers resemble that of a daylily.
