Ends are Only Beginnings
My feet pound the pavement
The pavement stretching on
On my toes I bound forward with every step
Every step towards the goal
The goal that I am striving for
Striving for that feeling of accomplishment
Accomplishment propelling me forward
Forward is the only direction
The only direction I know
Knowing that accomplishing this goal will make the next one harder
Harder than any before
Before me is a path I have chosen
Chosen to lead
Leading me down a difficult path
A path that is rewarding if seen to the end
The end being a beginning to the next challenge
Challenging me to be better than I am
I am going to see it through
Through and through I will complete it
It is something I have to complete
Complete is my goal
My goal at the end of this pavement
Pavement stretching on
On the way to the next goal
The goal that will put me ahead
Ahead of me is only another challenge
Another obstacle in my path
My path that doesn’t end
Ends are only beginnings
