Artifact poem
The ring that makes me feel safe as it hangs around my neck.
The ring that reminds me that she's with me everyday.
My grandma’s ring.
The small gold ring that comforts and fills me with joy.
The ring on my necklace chain that I never take off.
This ring isn’t just a ring.
It's sentimental that I don't feel complete without.
I get asked all the times what's on your necklace?
Hanging around my neck with my confirmation charm of Saint Theresa
my half of heart that my mom gave me for her to have the other half
Is my grandma's ring.
The ring I would cry about if I ever lost it.
If I take it off I have nothing to hold when I fidget.
This ring isn't just a ring.
When I look in the mirror and see the ring it reminds me that I'll always have a part of her.
The gold reminds me how she would always have to match her outfits.
She wouldn't mix gold and silver.
This ring isn't just a ring.
