She lit up the room when she walked in

bright blue eyes and a big smile

it was always hugs and I love yous’

From bread and butter to chicken goulash

barbeque's and pool days

Tigers baseball, lions football, and red wings hockey

to cancer and hospice

Early mornings and missing school

tears and prayers

to out last holidays together

quiet whispers filled the air

Late nights and family filled days

to a phone call and a breakdown

a bench at school now full of tears and hugs

Gone, gone gone was all I could think

No more priority hugs when you arrived

no more good nights when you stayed to late

no more yells and screams when the tigers where on

no more nagging to get into the pool

A cold hand was all I could touch

God called her home

it was time she let go

Black clothes and blank stares

to blue bows and orange ties

hundreds of pictures and memories was all that was left

Thousands of flowers surrounded

I sit still in the room that she passed in

her memory will never be forgotten

Death is inevitable we all know that

Life keeps moving

Death is inevitable

Never forget that.
