Tasty Tacos
My delicious tacos, smell great
I hope they are not stale tonight
For if they are not on my plate
We are going to have to fight
On my plate and inside they go
My stomach growls with so much joy
I probably should take this slow
So I can finish my La Croix
Tuesday is the day when we eat
Pull off to the side of the road
I give you this tasty treat
For all the kindness you have shown
I must go with my savored heart
Remember me while we’re apart

This piece was inspired by the fact that my parents told me we were having tacos for dinner. In reality I was trying to come up with a sonnet but I can't grasp the Iambic part quite yet.
