The Cycle

In green rolling fields the corn tassels

Between row and row are the leaves

catching every speck of sunlight

In the fields boys walk pulling of the tassels

While the sparrows fly away from the boys at work

The sparrows fly over the green lush timber

Where the tall oaks stand tall and proud

Where the bees hum their harmonic hum

The white flowers spring up everywhere

making the ground look like snow

The sparrows keep flying and flying

Over the pastures over the rivers

Until they arrive at the cemetery

The people dressed in black burying

Their dead crying away the pain

The author's comments:

I am a country boy that loves the outdoors and during the summer I work out doors every year, including this one. I realize, I don't have friends I have family. I have found peaple where if I need help they burn their gas to get here fast, and they help. When we get done they say next time do it for me. We live off each other like that no one gets rich just surving the best we can
