Bass took the Base outa' me
I walk the streets alone
Like a sick dog after a bone
 And I say, “hey”
When will I stop and turn around
 Tell me why
My world is burning to the ground

I cross the cross roads of a woman so fair
People stop and they all seem to stare
 Yet I Say “Hey”
 One among so many
Yet no one turns or seems to care

 Say your goodbyes
 I’m off to die
 But as I’m going
 I’ll ask you why
 So tell me
Am I worth to be a man
Do I deserve the ground that I now stand?

I fly by the airway of a bird
Distressed and left off by a herd
 Yet we say hey
 Say your goodbyes
 And we leave him there
 We float on by

I look around my blackened ashes
A lake of fire in which I crashed in
I watch my self just fade away
Far in a land that took me astray

 Say your goodbyes
 I’m off to die
 But as I’m going
 I’ll ask you why
 So tell me
Am I worth to be a man
Do I deserve the ground that I stand?
Do I deserve the ground that I stand?
Do I deserve that ground I now stand?
