In Latin my name means “The bright one”. Whether my parents named me because they wanted me to be intelligent or to be the light in the dark. Accepting people for who they are. The light at the end of the tunnel.

Luke means loving. It's caring. It's the ocean. Blue, calm, and graceful. Peaceful? Yes. It is hearing the ocean waves crashing on the beach. It's warm. Cozzy. My name is cursive. Each line smooth and continuous onto the next part.

The ocean, my favorite thing. The way it flows. The way it connects the world. The ocean brought people closer as it guided them to find new places. The ocean is me. I bring people together.

My name comes from the bible. From Saint Luke. Like me, he is a man of selflessness.  Writing a gospel to bring the world together. A messenger of Jesus who used to write about and rejoice towards the name of Jesus. Luke wrote about bringing people together, united in one faith.

He was focused on making the world a more loving place. Something I struggle with. But I figured out how to bring people together. Through hardships. Breaking and forming new bonds. I learned and grew. Luke is someone who strived for growth in himself and the world around him. Just like me.

The name Luke is very special to me. I am the light in the dark. I am the calm ocean. I bring people together.
