The thrilling feeling as I ride on the chair
And start to smell the crisp and cold winter air

On top of the mountain I take a look around
Only the laughter of other skiers make a sound

The cold air on my skin feels like a bite
The vibrant sky ahead, a calming site

I push down on my poles, I am ready to shred
To take on the path that’s been groomed ahead

With the soft, sheer, snow under my skis

Just like the birds, I feel free

With the wind in my face and the trees passing by
A stellar feeling, as if I could fly

As I finish the ride, my skis start to slow
And I head inside for some hot

cocoa
