Rear View Mirror
Two AM, coldest night
Talking to himself because he has stuff to say
Its on his mind, he’s about to skreigh
Letting the white light shine through his windshield tonight
Gas tank full, he’s doing what he wants to do
Living his life, everythings alright
Looking forward but there is no escape, no detour
No turning back, no U-turn
If he picks up the nights call
He might not see tomorrow
But the way he looks in the rear view mirror is so tempting
And he doesn’t have to look forward now
Because the rear view mirror makes everything closer
And he doesn’t have to see through the smoke in front of him
Because the rear view mirror makes everything brighter
He got into an argument stormed out jumped off his mama’s porch
He hopped in his wannabe Porsche
He rolled off just thinking about the way he looks in the rear view mirror
What does the world understand about this phenomena
Call him crazy he doesn’t care just let him do his thing
Because he’ll be good till the morning comes
