When will the past return?
Oh past, why won’t you come back?
A feeling of security I lack.
The future seems so confusing,
Yet remembering you is so amusing,
Full of joy and pleasure,
And now life’s all but leisure.
Growing up and growing older,
Piling weight on my shoulder,
Holding me back from my dreams,
Crushing them slowly it seems.
Why don’t you return?
And cease my heartburn,
Oh past, why don’t you come back?

The teenage life inspired me to write this piece. I based this on my emotions and feelings regarding the past. One of which is the feeling of security that the past is able to hold for us, and wishing for this to come back. I hope people understand what today's teens have to deal with, by growing up, teens have to endure so much, and it seems like its a never-ending cycle.
