My Sanctuary
Colors paint the blank canvas
providing a sheet of protection
as the yellow sun competes
with the snow-capped peaks
for the first one to graze the clouds
Today the sun triumphs
It shines bright
illuminating all of God’s vast creation
The musky water
reflects the starry night sky
as the moon shines bright
giving directions to those in need
The lush green grass
swaying in the brisk wind
lets off a gentle aroma
A sense of security swept over me
as I saw God all throughout
In the swaying grass
the bright sun
the unique peaks
the colors that swirled through the sky
In me
