Autumn

Cool crisp autumn wind whips through the sky and the colorful leaves start to die.

Falling, drifting and landing

As the hours of light turn into the hours of darkness

The princesses and witches

The scarecrows and superheros

The angels and devils

All come out to play

Sweet sugary candy, loud freightful screeching screams and cinnamon roasted apples fill the air like a squirrel fills its nest with acorns only for his own care.

I love September

I love October

I love November

I love the pretty plump pumpkins that are orange round and smooth.

I love how they are always ready for a new look

with eyes, a nose, and a mouth.

I love how they are always waiting to radiate light throughout the dark and lonely night.

To the lonely nights that we all face

The times when we just need an embrace

The times when all we see is darkness even when the sun is out.

Then there’s the one person who will wait for you

Wait for when you’re ready for their radiating light.

The one person that will never let you feel lonely

Because they love you more than they love themselves.

They care about you more than they are about themselves

They would make sacrifices for you

They would do anything for you.
