Drowning
My mind is an ocean,
My thoughts are a lake.
Drifting under the water,
Only one breath I take.
Slowly I sink down,
Underneath the blue,
Heavey and yet weightless.
No one has a clue.
The water was so calm,
But now the sea is rough.
I need to take a breath,
But moving is too tough.
So now my limbs are numb,
And I've hit the bottom floor.
I've got to turn around,
And make it to the shore.
The shore is nice and warm,
Today that ends my sorrow.
But this isn't a one-time thing,
I'll have to swim again tomorrow.
