lost in the world of books

I felt my body buzzing with adrenaline
as I placed the book on my knee,
I was itching to get back
to a world by the sea
for me, it's the best place to go,
with no care in the world to what might actually be,
a catch in my breath as the climax grows near,
I'm deaf to the world, the books all I can hear,
I'm completely lost now, or maybe I'm found
in this strange paper world that's far from the ground.

I love books but other people don't get how you can read books so much. When I read a book everything else doesn't matter anymore, everything else melts away as I go on adventures, witness murders and hold my breath at the courage of others. Books are my best friends. Someone once told me how your friends if you say to them stay here when you come back they might be gone but your books stay exactly where you leave them and they educate you. Books can tell you everything from life lessons to answers to your exam paper. 😂😍📖📔 Life is like a book. Some chapters sad, some happy and some exciting. But if you never turn the page...
