As we packed our van to the brink of its capacity I could not even begin imagining the long road ahead. Last year it had taken us nearly five hours just to get there. The Baltimore traffic had not been kind to us during that day. As we began driving away from Charm City we could see the Key Bridge in all of its glory. Soon after that we were out of the Baltimore area and on the long highway ahead. Finally we reached a goal marker.

The next goal was the bay bridge. But of course as is the case in summer it was clogged like gutter during a dreadful thunderstorm. Once we finally reached the bridge the sight was beautiful. It was a clear sunny day, the water reflected the light with near perfect precision. We saw dozens of boats and ships from as far away as the end of the bay to as close as Annapolis. Just the sheer size of the bridge was awe dropping. The Key Bridge and Patapsco River were completely put to shame by it. Once we reached the end of it we had finally reached another landmark, The Eastern Shore.

Let me say that the Eastern Shore is pure stereotypical Maryland. Most of it is either farmland or marshy swamps. You would most certainly not expect a rural coastal shore to be hiding the biggest vacation dream city in the Mid-Atlantic now would you? The area itself is remarkably foggy and misty. Light poured through the fog onto the bustling highway as we drove onward. Another thing I had always caught an eye on were deer. Then finally out of nowhere we hit a massive traffic jam. And by sheer chance a nasty storm rolled in. This really set the mood for everyone of us in the van as grey and unbelievably tired. Then a light shined through the clouds and the traffic was soon no more. Finally we reached the last goal of our trip before our final destination, West Ocean City.

This area contained the most barbie dream houses I had ever seen. These houses, I mean mansions, castles had no right being so huge. If you want inspiration for going to college take a look at West Ocean City. After driving through a marshland and forest we finally saw the great skyline of Ocean City. It was like a dream seeing it. The city truly looked like a mini Miami. We crossed the bridge onto the island.

Our journey is finally over we thought. As we drove down main street past the numerous condos and hotels a feeling of calmness and relaxation came across us. Soon we arrived at our hotel room and moved everything into it. I sat down on the balcony and enjoyed the view. We finally reached the end. I gone from Charm to the Atlantic.
