Beep, Beep, Beep....
Beep, Beep, Beep...
Beep, Beep, Beep,
goes the machines right out of a science fiction novel.
Beep, Beep, whoosh,
are two sounds that are in sync with each other.
There lays a man in a bed with wires, tubes,
and machinery
hooked up to him. What was once a product of nature
Is now artificial, and soulless.
Barely alive,
and kept that way by the machinery that enslaves
him. A realization comes to this man and he can see,
he is no longer human.
The room in which he lies In,
is dark
with one small lamp that casts a pale
Light, on the man in this makeshift prison.
Handcuffed and restrained by his own body,
the thought of hope
no longer exists within this room. This man is old and weary
and the only sound he can produce is the sound of his fight to breathe.
The people watching over
this man are praying and hoping
for a miracle that will never come.
Beep, Beep, Beep
Is the last sound you would want to hear,
but for those watching
over this man in the bed its all they want to
hear.
