Winter

Light snowflakes fall

Swirling in the cool wintry air

Each one different from them all

Patiently waiting to settle with care

Snow lands calmly all around 

Delicately covering everything in sight

Bright white glistening upon the ground

Making the world look just right

Spring

Birds whistling from the skies

Greenery growing on tall bare trees

Blossoms nurturing butterflies

Pollen drifting in the breeze 

Simple rain gently showers

Delicate streams flow

Slowly sprouting flowers

Creating beauty above and below

Summer

Fireflies flickering off and on

S’mores and stories by the fire

Lighting up the sky until dawn

Getting ready for an all-nighter

Melting ice cream and late night talks

Calm and peaceful without commotion

Walking across the sandy boardwalk 

Taking in a view of the churning ocean

Fall

Crisp leaves calmly falling down

Gently landing in the street 

One by one, without a sound

Leaves crunch beneath our feet

Apples tumbling to the ground

Pumpkin harvest bringing its best

Scents and spices all around
