"“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.”<br /> -Forrest Gump

Everyone walks past me. Kids are talking and there’s a usual mad guy talking on his phone. In fall, my leaves start turning from green to burgundy. It feels like I’m falling apart. My leaves would also fall off. But it was fine. I would enjoy this part of the year before it would get cold. I’ve been here before and it wasn’t that bad. So I savor the last part of the year. I look at my leaves which still have a little life in them. Just a few months pass and it’s winter. Animals had already started leaving me and started to migrate. All of my leaves had fallen off and it is cold. Everyone was on vacation and it was lonely. Some kids are still playing on the snow. It’s cold and I feel like I am freezing. My branches are numb. A few more cold months pass, and it is the beginning of spring. My leaves start growing and I feel reborn. My roots dig even deeper into the ground. The sun is shining brighter than ever before and it’s truly amazing. Some animals come back and rest on me. I will always live a few months of pain for happiness in spring. And now it’s summer and it’s very warm. Kids are playing on me and they’re happy. My leaves are green. I’m at the climax of my growth and the whole process starts again.

Objective: My objective for this set piece is to make tree feel like a real person. So it’s basically personification. I want to give the point of view of the tree in all of the four seasons. I like my personification of a tree because it shows what it has to go through each year.
