My First Moments With Him
I remember the day I finally saw him, his eyes containing millions of stars. Walking into the hospital room and feeling his presence, his wonder, his joy. His hands were smaller than the size of my palm, and holding them, feeling his heartbeat, dragged me into his presence. I felt his wonder, and knew he understood me. “Look at the car.” I pointed to the window, he looked, and smiled, his first smile ever.
