Memory
Memory is a funny thing.
What you remember and what you’ve lost.
Are your memories correct
Were they good but now are not?
You’re strapped up to the machine
Your mind is just the same
You have no free will now
Your memories I have tamed
Can you tell if your
memories are tampered with?
Because it’s all the same.
Your mind is at my whim.
The blue lights blink
They fizz and steam
A hole in your mind
Tear away your dreams.
Make more space
To be replaced
To disappear
Without a trace
The red lights twirl
And chirp and ring
replace your ideas
With anything
You used to be okay
A good person at least
Now your family’s a mystery
And your friends a disease
You may have some peace
You won’t know what was before
You won’t know what to miss
Or what might’ve been something more
You must remember,
It’s all up to me
You won’t have a choice
You’ll be who I want you to be.
