Passion

Walking into the freezing ice cold rink,

Seeing through the cold misty atmosphere,

Hearing the hard black rounded puck hit the light fiberglass sticks,

Opening the cold heavy metal blue locker room door,

prepared,

stretch

run

jump

sit

jog

Mind is cooling,

Legs are warmed up,

Heart is racing,

Sitting down,

Cooling down,

Heartbeat slowing,

Beginning to feel calm,

Relaxed.

Earbuds piercing my ears with the fast sound of motivating music,

Knowing it is almost time.

Lace

Tape

Laugh

Talk

Knowing it's almost time to rock,

Throwing on number 10,

a privilege.

Trying hard to win,

It's time to rock,

Will never give up.

We exit the door.

Mind is racing.

Stepping onto the white shiny sheet of ice,

Thinking to myself,

Win or loss

My passion will not be lost.
