The hungry go on with their day

Hearing the sounds of hungry stomachs roar

Louder than the waves crashing against the shore,

They struggle to go on 

Hungrier than the day before

The hungry filled with what little they have, craving more

Sleeping restlessly at night

Hearing the stomachs of the hungry roar

Will the world ignore these stomachs forevermore?

Or will we help the hungry people

Hungrier than the day before

After a meal the satisfied peacefully snore

And pretend they are not

Hearing the stomachs of the hungry roar

So many disregard the stomachs as they roar

So the hungry carry on
