Chardonnay & Famine
You patronize the lacking
 With your constant condescending ways
And carry about you a petulant blasé air
 Unappreciative of your lavished days

You never really lend a hand
While kneeling on the floor beneath
 The bodies of the underprivileged
The blistered hands and callused feet

You just toss around your affluence
And though you are making a change
In the pitiful amount of food
On a small and starving Childs plate

You will never get to see that Childs pain
 You’ll never understand
You’d never waste your “precious” time
To take that precious Childs hand

 And there fore you yourself
 Will likely never change;
 Another misleading philanthropist
 All done for vanities sake.
