Color
What if someone took a picture
Without color
Of two people
What if
One person was black
And one was white
But in a picture
Without color
There would only be
Some small difference in shade
Not quite enough
To assume
Anything
And what if someone
Added color
To that picture
Of two people
One small action
Creates one big line
Of separation
But when you look closely
At the two pictures
They are the same shape
They are the same size
The people are both human
For, color is just a way
That our eyes perceive light
So who’s to say
That when we look on the outside
That we are really seeing
The true color of one’s soul
