Pretty girl,

they all say.

She wishes for a different face.

The mirror reflects her tears,

while she stares down in disgrace.

Her face makes her sad.

All she can do is pray.

All she can do is pray.

Her face makes her sad

while she stares down in disgrace.

The mirror reflects her tears,

she wishes for a different face.

They all say,

“pretty girl.”

"Nameless Face" is about how girls and young women look at themselves every day and the different perspectives that they can have. Everyone wants something they can’t have, and in my poem, it is a new face.
