Wild Boy
The
wild boy
was found in
1797 all alone in a
forest. Naked like an
animal, but upright like a human
being. They wanted to civilize the boy
savage. Deep in his throat only hums and
murmurs. “His body is covered with scars.” Bonnaterre
wrote. (205) At times the boy was in a joyful mood.
Because they provided, potatoes, his favorite food.
Torn between two worlds and full of grief. “He searches
insessetly for means of escape.” (165) Their failure
to fix Victor now a man. “He could do whatever
he wanted, for the rest of his life.” (1026)
