Ode to Loneliness
Sometimes it's lonely at night
Sometimes I see shadows
I like to be in my solitary
but when I finally come out the only thing that welcomes me is a silence so loud it's almost like war
It's over bearing but Lady Night keeps everthing dark
so I call the shadows
They frighten me and whisper like wind that blows through the trees
but atleast I don't feel as empty
Other times the Moon keeps me company
sometimes I say things and she cries for me
She feels bad that she can't give me the light I need
When not even the Moon or the shadows can help me
I sit infront of a mirror
I sit there, listening
Listening to the mirror grind and shake
I listen and watch until my features become something less familiar
I sit there until I see you
But nonetheless I know everything is still dark and that all I'll ever have is the shadows that frighten me
