Chocolate Summer Girl
Is it weird to say
That I wanna kiss you,
That I want to know how it feels
When our chocolate lips
Press together-
Overlapping each other?
Your lips are like the summer
And when I look at them,
I can’t help but want to feel
The summer breeze.
I don’t mind that you’re short
Because I can always think
About what happened
Before she left.
The chocolate lips
Of this summer girl-
That clouds my mind-
Has made me smile every time
I walk outside.
I bask in her heart
For only a short moment.
Coming back to reality-
She sits next to me
With curls that define gravity.
She licks her lips
As if she forgot the taste
Of her melanin skin.
Her eyes are the milky way
That leads to an infinity
Of lust and sadness.
Her voice is like the river-
It flows into my ears
And it doesn’t go out the other.
I’m a victim
To her voice and the way she moves.
Her laugh is running,
Running through my veins.
Her goofiness
Reminds me of my momma
And her kindness
Is like my gma.
She is the only chocolate
That I will take a bite into,
And she doesn’t know
How admirable she is.
Every day I want to tell her
That she is the sunbeam
I love to feel.
That she is the water
I want to drink.
That she is the milky way
To my universe.
I wish I can stay with summer
But winter is keeping me from staying.
I have to stay cold for winter,
So I can’t stay warm forever.
Winter has to be long term,
Summer is always short,
No matter what happens to her
She’ll always be in my heart.

I am speaking from the perspective of a boy who loves this girl but can't have her because he's already in a relationship with someone else and will always have feelings for her even when he's with his girl.
