Broken
There once was a boy who saw a girl behind broken glass,
Or was it the other way around?
For most eyes wont gaze into a soul just pass
We let each other drown
How many hearts must bruise
Before we know we're loved
No longer a muse
Always ment to be shoved
How many years must fall,
Before we know our worth?
How many will stand tall,
Despite the stained earth?
Does the poet even know
That they too can be saved
It seems so long ago
That all eyes were not glazed (oh how they did blaze)
Even theives, I being one for pens
Have reasons that are clear
Even they crave that suffocating cleanse
So they too shall be sheer.
