Storm
It begins slowly.
Dark clouds loom in the distance.
The wind grows stronger. Shadows creep across the land. The first bold drop falls.
The storm grows ever stronger. Rain pounds the street, drenching everything. Droplets ride the wind and prance.
It marches along, like an army on the move, guns cracking above.
Rain drops twirl a frenzied dance.
The storm’s heart arrives.

Then
the rain
recedes.
And
the wind
fades too.
The
dark clouds
retreat.

This is a concrete poem and the editing needs to be adjusted accordingly. It should be a cloud with lightning coming down, and clouds receding in the distance.
