Let Me Be Gone!

I ran away
To the square for a while,
Thinking about you,
Imagining your smile;
Remembering the nights
You left me all alone,
How I shivered from the cold
That chilled me to the bone.
There was nothing more
That I could do
To help us last
Longer than a week or two.
But, I'm sick of hurting
I'm sick of pain
I'm sick of feeling
Alone in the rain.
I'm done with you,
I'm moving on,
Don't say a word,
Just let me be gone.
I only have one more appology;
I've said sorry too many times;
But I'm sorry I ever fell
For all your silly lines.
I feel so stupid
For believing all your crazy lies,
I should have known they weren't true,
Just from the look in your eyes.
I'm sick of hurting
I'm sick of pain
I'm sick of feeling
Alone in the rain.
I'm moving on;
I'm leaving you behind;
Your memory forever,
In the back of my mind.
I'm done with you,
I'm moving on,
Don't say a word,
Just let me be gone.
I'm sick of hurting
I'm sick of pain
I'm sick of feeling
Alone in the rain.
I'm sick of hurting
I'm sick of pain
I'm sick of feeling
Alone in the rain.
I'm done with you,
I'm moving on,
Don't say a word,
Just let me be GONE!

This is a poem for all the girls out there who have ever dated a guy who hasn't treated her like the treasure she is! I've been there many times too many, and I know it's hard to get past.
You have to work hard to leave it behind, but once you do, it's the best feeling in the world. You become free again!
