Burnout
One thing that is always hard to deal with is drugs,
and it is even worse when it comes to addiction.
Not only do drugs hurt you,
but they hurt everyone around you, like your family.
With drugs you can’t win, you can only lose,
so why do something with such a high cost?
The non-stop pain and stress is not worth the cost,
emotion and physical pain because of drugs.
All the time and money that you’ll lose,
feeding and growing on the addiction.
Your choices cause problems for the whole family
and the only one who can fix it is you.
I will always blame you
for everything you have cost
us, the memories my family
will always have to burden, all because your need for drugs.
You claim you can’t control it because it’s your addiction,
But the truth is you are trapped in a game you created, that you are going to lose.
How does it get so far, where you lose
complete control of your life. You
have no idea how much your addiction
is hurting us. Your drug use is a cost
that this family can’t afford. You need to choose between the drugs
or us. Drugs will kill you, but you know what will save you? Family.
I am growing tired of my family
crying each night. We fear we’ll lose
the one we loved so much, but drugs
have made you someone you’re not. We have tried to help you,
but you avoid our love and support at any cost.
As humans, we have addictive traits. Your addiction is drugs, and saving you is our addiction.
You need to fight the demons that encourage your addiction,
because we can’t fight them for you. Our family
will always be here for you, but the cost
of trying to help you is tearing us apart. We all are starting to lose
our faith, because it seems you
don’t want help. It’s scary to see how much a family can crumble due to drugs.
If you want to lose not only your family,
but your own life due to your addiction to drugs,
then you go ahead. Just know every choice comes with a cost.
