Disappear
I walk this gnarled world
I am very thrilled.
Has been here for many years;
It has made numerous peers.
But soon it will completely disappear;
It might be in a light-year,
It might not occur for a billion.
It helped form civilization.
It is like she is all our mothers.
“It’s been brilliant,” it utters.
As it takes its final breath,
…Death.
Silence…
