What I Am Not Allowed to Feel
Sadness-
a feeling I am not allowed to feel
True happiness is something of infinite appeal
Though it isn’t ideal, my true feelings I must conceal
Though my love with Gatsby at the time was unreal
About Tom, I do not know how I feel
Oh! This is a terrible ordeal
One man has a broken heart that needs to heal
The other may only want me for my sex appeal
Here I am suddenly behind Gatsby’s steering wheel
In front of me is a girl who, like a boat, will soon keel
Now because of my mistake
I’ve left Gatsby’s death in my wake
