Empty
The leaves are gone from the trees
Empty like her eyes
I would like them to come back please
In the night she cries and cries
Empty like her eyes
Blank like space
And yet she tries and tries
To put on a happy face
Blank like space
Cold like snow
She blesses people with her grace
But no one really knows
Cold like snow
How happy she tries to be
No one will ever know
That she wasn’t full of glee
