Was once a sacred bond between a man and woman
Now that bond is officially broken
You can go either to church or get married on someone’s porch
There are people who are “soul mates” and those who want to wait
Marriage was shown by a diamond ring
Doesn’t matter what type of ring you wear as long as you care
First comes love then comes marriage
Then comes a child in a baby carriage
It can lead to not having a child
Just waiting for a while
Go buy a puppy
If that’s what makes you happy

I really like the lines individually but together it needs to flow a bit better("Just waiting for a while/Go buy a puppy"...). Also, at times the poem rhymed and at times it didn't. I'd decide if I want this poem to rhyme, or if I don't want it to rhyme at all. (that's what I think of poems, though I'm not an expert).
