Reflection
Losing you slowly, as you went unnoticed
You couldn’t be seen; we were unfocused
Holding you close and dear to my heart
I thought you’d always be there from the start
But instead you decided to leave
And I’m supposed to be okay and grieve
You were once the best part of me
And now I’m supposed to be happy and free
Instead I just lay in my bed feeling empty and lonely
Sadly, you’re gone for good
And I’ll forever be misunderstood.
