I See America Dying
I see America dying
chaos rules the streets
the truth leaves without goodbying
one may rule, what a feat.
Honesty is shattered, love is gone
this is caused by the chosen one.
Tears are shed, blood is bled
why must this happen?
War is among us, pain is endured
the fighting goes on.
I see America dying.
Time passes by,
those I love, I soon watch die.
The fight is over, I have won.
All of this occurs as I watch the rising sun.
Peace is near, angels I hear,
the war is finished.
America is born again.

I wrote this because I was inspired. I have heard of all of the wars that this country has endured and it gave me the idea to write something that started off as a tragedy but ended as a successful young child.
