The Walk

Spending your days all alone.

Walking through the unknown.

Wishing you had someone to talk to,

Thinking about the stuff that you can’t undo.

As you stop to take a break

You realize how everyone is so fake.

Saying that they will be with you through it all,

But you know that they will cause your fall.

Once you hit rock bottom

You felt like the victim.

So you tried to keep everyone away

It worked but you wished at least one person would stay.

Being alone started to make you derange.

You wished your mind could just rearrange.

Wishing that you could just disappear

Filled you with even more fear.

So you decided to continue to walk

Reminding yourself that people are going to talk.

Telling yourself to not look back

Knowing self control is what you lack.

You ended up looking back to realize

That you do have some allies.

You finally came to see

That being alone was never the key.

So in order for your life to be the truest

You need to spend your days to the fullest.

What inspired me to write this piece was the feeling that everyone is fake and are out to get you, but you then come to realize that there are still some people out there that truly care about you.
