Endings
Endings might feel sad but after each end there’s a start,
and all it takes is just some time to mend a broken heart.
You might feel like it’s pointless, or that you’ve lost your fight,
but hold on a little longer because the future will be bright.
After rain there is a rainbow; after storms the sun comes out.
In no time you’ll be living the life you’ve always dreamt about.
So be brave and keep on going and lift your head up to the sky.
Because every second you spend in the past, you’re just letting life pass by.

I submitted this poem for a poetry project last semester. It meant a lot to me so I decided to submit it to Teen Ink and see what would happen!
