Its Not Okay

As a sixteen year old girl

Walks the halls of her school

Tears falling from her eyes

Students calling her a “sl*t” or a “w***e

Because one guy ruined her life

Its Not Okay

For the boy who wears skinny jeans

And wants to wear makeup

To be best but the hands of his father

And told to die by his classmates

Its Not Okay

That the star soccer player

Who bullies the girl who doesn’t speak

To be awarded and praised

By the schools teachers and the town

While the girl cries herself to sleep

Putting a razor to her wrist

Screaming “Why is this my life”

Its Not Okay

For a town to put children’s bodies in the ground

Kids who should be able to live and grow

Children who will never have a chance

Its Not Okay

For teachers to ignore students pain

To not stop the bullying

To let a student, a child suffer that way

Its Not Okay

That the parents are to blame

The town saying

“control your child a better way”

When parents can only do so much

Working away their day

To keep their child okay

Putting food on the table

Thinking there child’s safe in a building

For seven hours of the day

Only to realize their child is dying inside

But it’s to late

When they all realize what’s wrong

Its Not Okay

This is about how school and teens lives are difficult. Bullying is not okay and Suicide is never the option.
