They say there’s no love like a mother’s love,

They say family is bonded by love,

They say love is a chain that can't be broken

They lied.

The suns in the air,

You feel happy

With every puff of smoke

That leaves your mouth

Your mind grows darker

Logic soon vanishes

New words fill

Erratic,

Rage,

Hurt.

They can't figure out what's wrong with you

Holes line the walls,

Blood drips from your hand,

You begin to relax as the cold dull click of the handcuffs fill your ears

The world goes black

When you wake up you're in a different state

A new home

But this home is built on hate.

She tells you everything's ok

As her husband threatens you

She says your anxiety is all in your head

Everyday spent in agony,

Every night spent in fear

You begin to withdraw,

you become numb,

Your personality dies.

You scream for help, but your screams are muffled by her cover ups.

They turn their backs on you

Label you as a liar

You're alone denied help

trapped

The police say you have to suck it up

With that your heart breaks

you make your choice

Your fate is sealed

it's time to say goodbye.

They take you home and you retire to your room

1...2...3…

The lids hit the floor.

Bottoms up you say as the pills tumble down your throat,

In this moment you are at peace

free at last.

You say goodbye

Close your eyes and wait for death

Waiting for the darkness to consume you

waiting to be safe.

You can see the end, you see the light

They say there's no love like a mother’s but in the end

Your mothers “love” signed your death warrant.
