Ode to Cross Necklace
Oh, cross pendant how you mean so much to me
Given as a gift from a dying grandmother
Promising everything turns out okay
Holding on to you like the only thing I have left
Oh, cross how helpful you have been
Giving me hope when no hope is to be had
Making me come to you when no one else is there
Being my best friend that I never guessed I would’ve had
Oh, necklace how you have made me mad
When things go wrong I always ask you why
You told me it was okay but why is it so bad
I hate you but I love you all at the same time.
Oh, cross necklace how you’ve made me relived
Even when I get mad at you, you are still there for me
You have had my back since the day I got you
But you were right, it is okay in the end.
