It pains him to go on close to the end.

His chest tightens like a noose.

His mouth dries, like a desert.

He breaths an unsteady beat.

The end nears. He cries of joy and hurt.

Then, he rests his tender feet.

This is written in a Korean poetic form called Sijo.
