All Your Fault
Red rain droplets on a windshield.
Incisor pierces my tongue's flesh.
Long, familiar routes seem shorter than short, strange routes.
Elbow out the car window.
Burns from the summer sun.
Stopped abruptly like rain under an overpass.
A foggy notion.
Passed fast like a corvette on an empty highway.
Ripped like chapped lips.
A penny on a railroad track.
Like a teardrop clinging to your chin.
Memories can’t be shaken away.
The best but worst times were all your fault.
